Abstract: I would like to give an introduction to the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model, including its role in deepening our understanding of quantum chaos and quantum entanglement. I will also discuss some of its variants, including the complex SYK model, and a family of higher dimensional lattice generalization.
